I hadn't seen/heard a good one in awhile, but how about Saturday night I went to a fast food place and as I was walking out I happened to look at my receipt (wishing now I would've shot a pic with my phone)... why was the cashier named... wait for it, wait for it...

Know a weird name...

As I stated in the first blog... feel free to submit names. They must be real names. No urban legend names like Orangello/Lemonjello. You don't have to submit last names unless the combination makes it funny. You can also submit celebrity baby names.

Strange names come in a few categories...there are names that are weird just for the sake of being weird, names that might seem normal until you see them spelled out etc. etc. If you're not sure if a name really qualifies read the "Rules of Names." If it breaks more than 1...usually it's a winner.

As a reminder, if your name is on here--this is meant to be entertaining...but if it makes the list it must be pretty weird.

Rule 1: I should not have to play the phonics game to learn how to pronounce your child’s name
Rule 2: No Prefix/Suffix or Unnecessary Random Punctuation
Rule 3: No "Smush" Names
Rule 4: The "PCA Rule": Do not name your children after places you’ve never been, cars you cannot afford or alcoholic beverages
Rule 5: the Animal Farm Rule: 7 letters good, 12 letters bad
Rule 6: The Dictionary Test: If You Choose a Word Name Make Sure You Know What the Word Means
Rule 7: The Lifetime Rule: When in doubt, consider that your child has a lifetime of standardized tests, check and resume writing
